Care

I aim to use natural materials for all my items. With barely any effort they will age gracefully and acompany you until you decide to pass them on.

Leather

Try to avoid water. If your item does get wet, damp it dry with a soft towel and let air dry slowly on another dry towel at room temperature. You must not use heat, it will harden the leather in unexpected ways. Apply a leather conditioner afterwards. If you can’t get one, a rich neutral non-scented hand or skin lotion can work in a pinch. Don’t overdo it, wipe off any excess and polish with a cotton cloth afterwards.

If you must clean your item because it got very dirty, try to stick to a damp cloth and only apply a very gently leather cleaning agent if necessary.

Leater Stitching

All leather stitching is made from Amann Serafil Polyester thread. If you somehow manage to fray or damage the stitching, you can use a lighter to melt it, the frayed edges will disappear. Please understand that you do this at your own risk. Do not hesitate to reach out to me directly for support.

Leather edges

All edges of my leather items are treated with a clear edge coating. You can re-polish it with the handle of a wooden spoon or a cotton cloth and some elbow grease.
