This project started with a simple problem. My own wallet was disintegrating. There were many nice options out there, but they all had one missing feature in one way or the other.
A rabbit hole of wallets
We Germans love our cash, so avoiding coins is nearly impossible, and keep them in my pockets where they will scratch something or end up in the washing machine wasn’t going to work.
The initial prototype in 2017 was created from leather scraps left over from another project.
The wallet needed room for cards, cash, and coins. It needed to make good use of the material, and it needed to be slim. It should work without any metal zippers or buttons. I wanted to make it easy to fabricate and repair. I wanted to make it last.
Years later, that original prototype is still holding up well and I created a few iterations to arrive at the definitive version that I can build for you.
